Skate Night with the Girls
Founded in 2011, Campus Skateparks is a non-profit organisation that uses the energy and influence of skateboarding to engage with young people, providing an inclusive space that gives opportunities for socialising and personal development without pressure to conform.
The pool was once a part of a community leisure centre, left derelict for a decade after being closed by the council in 2005. A few years ago, Campus took it over and transformed it's purpose, filling it with curves of concrete. Campus Pool host a monthly Girls Night, an evening of skating for women and girls to practice together. We went to check out the Pool and documented our night with the women we met.
