Softball Will be Back at the Olympics for 2020
So it turns out softball is actually sick. The last two olympics saw softball taken off the menu but in Tokyo it'll be back along with baseball. Coach of Canada's team Mark Smith says that those who haven’t watched softball before are in for a treat. “The intensity of the play is what makes it so great for spectators,” he said. “It’s a smaller dimension diamond than baseball, but the ball is thrown at comparable speeds to baseball, so the action is much quicker.' Count us in.
Cricket
England Revive Ashes Campaign
Following our update last week in which England were doing pretty miserably, the team have reignited their Ashes chances with their first win of the series, ensuring Australia's path to victory isn't so clear after all. Head coach Mark Robinson said it has saved the team from entering into dangerous territory of feeling sorry for themselves. Never a good look.

Gymnastics
Ellie Downie Wins Young Sportwoman of the Year
18-year old Downie made history this year when she won the all-around title at the European Championships, the first British woman to do so. Recently Downie has had to contend with surgery on her foot but has her sights firmly set on 2018 where she will compete in the Commonwealth Games, World Champs and defending her European crown. Just normal teenager things y'know.
