Olympic champ Danson will captain the England women's hockey team for the squad's next three major international competitions, including the World Cup in London and the Commonwealth Games. It was also announced this week that Vitality is becoming a sponsor for England Hockey in a big way.

Did we learn NOTHING in 1993? Bobsledding is probably the coolest sport ever. McNeill's team funding was cut just weeks before they were due to go to the Winter Olympics despite British Bobsleigh funding three men's teams this year. Don't worry, she's got this.
