Feb 13 Romance FC Launch New Kit

Lagoon dreaming and city sunsets inspired the inaugural kit launch by London-based creative collective and grassroots team, Romance FC.

After spending many evenings playing under the East London skies of Hackney Downs, the team pays homage to the place that is close to their hearts. Designed by Romance FC’s very own Aimee Capstick, the kit takes inspiration from classic football shirts from the 80s and 90s, with a modern colour gradient twist. The shirt also features two custom fonts designed especially for Romance FC.

The collab is one of the first to come from the Nike By You Collaboration Programme, the latest service to launch from the sports brand enabling creativity and the opportunity to showcase your own team within the Jersey shop by allowing customers to use Nike designs, manufacturing and sales faculties.

The process begins with a design unique to the collaborator and is reviewed by Nike. If yours is approved, it becomes eligible for addition to the Jersey Shop assortment. Following the initiative, Nike will be establishing community spaces in cities around the world where people will be able to attend workshops and design their own Nike jerseys.

The Romance FC x Nike kit is available in two colourways; a short sleeve pink/purple ombre shirt and a long sleeve mint/peach ombre alternative. Looks like they're being snapped up quick so get involved!
