Manchester United to Launch Women's Team

Well, literally never thought we'd be writing these words, but yes, Man U [who btw are worth nearly Β£3 billion πŸ’Έ] have decided they want in on the women's game since scrapping the team back in 2005. Whaaaaat. Anyway, we could say too little too late etc, but we won't be sour – this article by Suzanne Wrack sums up how we're feeling pretty well; "despite the time it has taken, the news that one of the game's global superpowers are launching a pro women's team is welcome". Chelsea Cruise into FA Cup Semis

The only quarter final match to go ahead due to snow, Chelsea breezily beat Liverpool 3-0 and are through to the FA Cup semi finals. The rest of the matches are due to take place this Sunday, and if Man City defeat Sunderland it'll be an intense battle of the blues come mid-April. 102-Shot Insane Badminton Rally

Before this vid, we would have said there's definitely only so many times you can watch a shuttlecock go back and forth between four people, and that number would not have been 102. We were wrong. Watch this incredible rally between Japan's Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota against Denmark duo Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Christinna Pedersen at the All England Badminton Championships and try not to get sucked in. Straight up electric ⚑️.

It's as much in the family as anything could possibly be. Kelsey plays for Ohio State and is among the top three scorers in NCAA women's basketball history – and she's close to overtaking the division one men's record for career 3-pointers. πŸ’πŸΎβ€β™€οΈπŸ€

The 98-Year-Old Nun Dispensing Coaching & Spiritual Advice

Our new b-ball hero is, somewhat unexpectedly, Sister Jean, the chaplain for the [men's] Loyola University Chicago Ramblers. Following back-to-back wins, it's clear Sister Jean Dolores-Schmidt offers more than thoughts and prayers to the players. A former basketball player and coach herself, she provides scouting reports, pre-game speeches and postgame analysis, all peppered with a healthy dose of spiritual guidance. One of the team's players, Donte Ingram, said 'she’s like another coach, [in my first ever game], it caught me off guard. I thought she was just going to pray. She prayed, but then she starts saying, β€˜You’ve got to box out and watch out for 23.’ Even the Sisters of Sister Jean are impressed.

This video follows Atita Verghese, India's first female pro skateboarder and founder of Girls Skate India, as she promotes skating for women and girls around the country. Fellow pro Lizzie Armando comes out to get stuck into the concrete – literally, building the skateparks and then skating and teaching in them.
